Saudi Arabia Has Launched a One-Year Multiple-Entry Umrah Visa, With a Pooled 90-Day Stay Limit

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah introduced a 365-day multiple-entry Umrah visa on 20 July 2026, issued via the Nusuk platform, allowing repeat pilgrims a shared 90-day stay allowance across all visits rather than a fresh visa each time.

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has launched a multiple-entry Umrah visa, announced on 20 July 2026 and issued through the official Nusuk platform, that lets pilgrims enter the kingdom repeatedly over a full year rather than applying afresh for each trip. Given the scale of Umrah travel from India, this is one of the more relevant Saudi entry changes for Indian travellers to land in 2026, alongside the kingdom's separate tourist e-visa.

How the new visa works

The visa is valid for 365 days from the date it's issued and allows multiple entries within that period, but the total time spent inside Saudi Arabia across all visits is capped at a pooled 90 days, rather than resetting with each new trip. Each individual visit still requires booking a service package through an approved provider on the Nusuk platform, and the package length can't exceed whatever balance remains of the 90-day pool. The visa is not active during the Hajj season, so it applies specifically to Umrah travel outside that period.

Why it matters for Indian travellers

India sends some of the largest annual numbers of Umrah pilgrims of any country, and many make the trip more than once within a year, whether independently or with family. A visa that removes the need for a fresh application each time, provided the cumulative 90-day limit isn't exceeded, is a meaningful simplification for that pattern of repeat travel, though it sits alongside, rather than replaces, Saudi Arabia's standard single and multiple-entry tourist e-visas.

Traveller tips

  • Applications and service packages for the multiple-entry Umrah visa are handled through the official Nusuk platform (nusuk.sa).
  • Track cumulative days used carefully; the 90-day allowance is shared across all entries on the visa, not renewed per visit.
  • The visa doesn't operate during the Hajj season, so travel dates should be planned around that annual window.
  • Confirm current eligibility and documentation requirements directly on nusuk.sa or through the Saudi mission in India before booking, since pilgrimage visa rules are subject to further revision.
